Games on the CECT I9 3G - How to Find, Install, and Play Them

There's no doubt that there's a lot of entertainment available on the CECT iPhone clones. You can listen to MP3s. You can watch movies or video. And, you can play games. I get a lot of emails about how to get new games on this new 3G phone. I'll go over this process in the following article.

Finding And Installing Games On The CECT 3G Via Java: I'm sure there are other ways and places to get games on this phone, but most people will just go for the Java variety. Most of these phones support Java (check with the seller to make sure if you have any doubt), so this makes the process free and easy. There are literally thousands of Java games available - most of them are free.

To get started, goggle the phrase "get jar." This will take you to some websites that have free Java games (in jar files) via download. If you hit "software" at the top of the screen, you'll then see "games" on the bottom left hand side. If you click on this icon, you'll see several different gaming categories, like action, board games, adventure, classic, etc.

There's usually something for everyone - including the old stand bys like Space Invaders And Pac Man as well as Lunar Lander and GAEM. As soon as you find a game that you want to download, click on it's link. Most games will just have the jar file right there, but others will ask you to chose your device. There is only one CECT model listed right now - CECT A100. This works for all of the phones. If you want a game that doesn't have this device, often the Nokia phones will work also, especially 2610.

Now, at this point, there are a few ways to get the game from your computer to the phone. You can use Bluetooth, you can use the SD card, or you can use the USB cord. I prefer the USB cord because it is always at my computer anyway and I don't have to open up the phone to get the SD card. So, these next instructions are for the USB cord, but the process is the same no matter what the method.

Once you have the USB cord installed into your phone, click "mass storage." Then, from your computer, click the jar file and then chose "save as." Then, on your desktop, find what your phone is labeled as. For me, this is k:/ but it may be different to you. Once you curser to this drive, hit save.

Next, take the USB cord out of your phone. Go into the documents icon of the phone. You will have two options - memory card or phone. Chose memory card. Then, go into the "received" folder. You should see the name of the game listed. (You may have to scroll down if you have lots of files.) Click on the game's name. Then, click on the icon that says "install." The phone will then install the game.

When you want to play the game, go into the Java icon of the i9 -3G's main menu. Go into "installed software." You'll see the name of the game listed. Click on it and then click on "launch." The game will then begin and you can start playing.

This article was about finding and installing games, but this process is the same for all Java files, including browsers like Opera Mini, applications like Google maps, mobile office, or email programs like MMail.

As a result it is very much possible for people to buy these discounted stuffs. Same is the situation with the radars. Speed radars are important. Over speeding is a growing issue. How to Add an External Hard Drive to a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360

Add More Storage to Your Gaming Console With an External Hard Drive

If you have a gaming Cheap Adsl Modem that came with a small hard drive or no hard drive at all, then adding an external hard drive is a reasonably quick and simple solution. unwired internet you can replace the original hard drives that came in the system with a larger one, but those laptop hard drives can get quite expensive, especially in the larger capacities.

An external hard drive will let you add more storage at a much lower price while at the same time allowing you to control the content yourself. On a system like an Xbox 360, you cannot add content to the built in drive unless it is downloaded from Xbox Live or ripped from a CD. With an external drive, you have full control of your content, and can easily upload or download new content without much trouble.

Choosing Your External Hard Drive

Naturally, you will malaysia hotel bangkok a hard drive and an enclosure. Almost any USB external hard drive will work for your purposes. The main difference is if you are looking for portability vs. storage size. If you have some laptop hard drives lying around, then buy a 2.5" laptop hard drive enclosure.
The advantages of using a smaller laptop hard drive are that it will be much smaller and much more portable, and will most likely not require a power supply. However, laptop drives usually pale in capacity compared to regular 3.5" drives of the same price. A 3.5" external hard drive will store much more content but will probably require an extra power port. If your gaming console is usually located in one location and not likely to move around, this type of hard drive might be the best solution.

Formatting Your Hard Drive

Gaming consoles need an external hard drive that is formatted in the FAT32 file system. streamyx rm35 can use virtually any hard drive currently sold on the market, as FAT32 can support hard drives up to 2 broadband compare dsl in size. However, the limitation of FAT32 is that it cannot hold individual files larger then 4GB in size. Also, Windows 2000 and XP cannot create or format partitions larger than 32GB. Windows 98 users can only create and partition drives up to 127GB in size. So, in order to create a FAT32 partition and format it above the 32GB or 127GB limitations, you will need a utility like Partition Magic or some other drive/partition utility. I highly recommend CompuApps Swissknife, which can be downloaded for free at download.com for PC users. Mac OSX users can simply open /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app, choose the desired drive, and click on the Erase. Choose 'MS-DOS (FAT)' and then click on the 'Erase' button. You should now have a hard drive formatted in FAT32.

Once your drive is done formatting in FAT32, it's simply a matter of uploading content to your new drive and connecting it to your gaming console. Simply connect your USB cable to an available USB port on the front of your Playstation 3, or the back of your Xbox 360. Your game console should recognize your new device automatically, and allow you to browse your new files on the external hard drive.

Is a Diamond Engagement Ring Selling Online For $1,599 Really Worth $4,999? Answer - No!

Every week, tm streamyx com get an email update from my favorite online retailer of computer and electronic goodies. The HTML message is loaded with pictures of all kinds of gadgets cheap 512k broadband offered at very good prices. Now these are items that are mass-produced in far away lands, using cutting edge technology, and made in ultra modern production facilities. About 2 weeks ago, I was surprised streamyx net see that now they are also offering jewelry... I shouldn't have been so surprised because 3 days earlier my gas company included an advertising flier for jewelry in with the monthly statement.

The online retailer was offering a 1Ct. diamond solitaire engagement ring for an amazing discount. According to them, the ring should normally be sold for $4,999 but now you can get it from them for $1,599. WOW, that is truly amazing! What a savings! How can they do that?

I understand that when many consumer items are first introduced, the price is high but it will drop over time.... in 1987, my first Mac cost 3 times more than the iMac that I just bought and my new iMac is thousands of times better than that original computer. Is that the same way jewelry works? Well yes and no. In the past 30 years I've seen many changes in how jewelry is being sold to the public. The most notable was home shopping when cable TV started to become more widespread in the late 70's to the early 80's... but the biggest change has been via the Internet.

For the past 30 years, as these new jewelry outlets became popular, it made prices come down because it "eliminated the middleman" from the chain of distribution. Because of these major realignments to the jewelry business, there are no more middlemen left. There really haven't been many drastic improvements in manufacturing. Jewelry is basically manufactured the same today as it was 100 years ago. Computer chip manufacturing is being improved everyday... the speed and performance keeps going up as the prices keeps going down... jewelry manufacturing doesn't work that way.

So how does this ring have an original value of $4,999? Simple, they made up that $4,999 value! If everyday, a jeweler makes a ring and sells it on a regular basis for $1,599, then the value of that ring is $1,599. If someone had actually bought this same ring for $4,999 then that person really got ripped off and they should never, ever trust their judgment ever again!

The price of the gold that is used in the ring is set on the open market on a daily basis and law regulates the gold content of the ring. The cost of manufacturing is pretty much the same for this type of ring regardless of who manufactures it. The one item, the major factor in the pricing of this item, the diamond, will be the one thing that could change the price from $1,599 up to $4,999. The information that was given shows it is a 1Ct diamond, I1 to I2 in clarity, and J to K in color. Well, according to them, a 1Ct. diamond can vary within a weight range from 0.94 to 1.04Ct. Knowing that, which end of that range do you think they use most of the time? That's right, the low end of the range will be used and I'm sure that the lower clarity, I2, and the lower color, K, will also most likely be used. However there is no mention of the 4th. "C", and the most important "C", the cut.

Seeing some of the information of this ring, I think that at $1,599, this ring is overpriced. This will not be a nice looking diamond! Being a 1Ct. diamond is about the only impressive thing you can say about it. This type of deep discount will end up of attracting people who are susceptible to this type of advertising. These are people who believe that there is a tremendous mark-up in jewelry and anytime you buy jewelry you are getting ripped off.

Tremendous mark-ups and rip offs are always evident whenever my wife buys perfume or dress shoes. Please don't ever waste any of your hard earned money on offers like this... remember, you generally do get what you pay for!

Share WiFi With Your Neighbours - Setting Up a WiFi Internet Hotspot in Your Neighbourhood

Most of the time your Internet connection is not being used to it's full potential. Increasing cable and DSL speeds allow home Internet connections to support many more computers than you have connected. If you broadband download speed test use you computer for a few hours each day you may consider sharing your Internet connection with family and neighbors to maximize its use and reduce your cost.

Strong signal - A good external antenna

The most important aspect of running a Hotspot is getting a strong signal to your neighbors. The best option is to mount an external antenna as high as you can on your property. Antenna can be expensive so it's worth shopping round for a good deal on Ebay. I would recommend a 6dB External broadband free phone Antenna for most people.

Be aware of the different type on antenna connectors. I like the RP-TNC connector that is found on Linksys WRT54GL routers, as it's more durable than the little RP-SMA connector used on other kit. If you do not yet know where you customers will be connecting from it's best to get an omni-directional antenna. If you know where they will be connecting from you could get a directional or "patch" antenna.

Strong Signal - A short antenna lead.

When you designing your system you need to have the shortest possible lead between the WiFi Hotspot Router and the Antenna. For good signal strength try to keep the lead less than 6'. A good solution for this is to install the WiFi Hotspot Router in a weather proof or Tupperware box and mount it on the antenna post. You will then need to run the power and network connection up the pole but I find it gives the best overall result. The safest way to run the power up the pole is to keep the wall wart inside the house and splice in a section of low voltage cable to run up to the pole.

Choosing a router - The Awesome Linksys WRT54GL

The WRT54GL WiFi Router can be purchased for as little as $50. It can easily have it's firmware replaced with OpenWRT or DD-WRT both tiny versions of Linux which allows you to run your own software directly on the router. Then you can install Hotspot Management software on the router and in under 5 minutes you can have a powerful WiFi hotspot for less than $100.

How to control access to your WiFi Hotspot.

The nicest thing to do is to leave your WiFi router open with no encryption. Then anyone can use it for free. If you want some control over who uses your system or if you want to make some money from your system these are the main options:

MAC Address Filtering.
A MAC address is a unique number that every network and wireless device has. A MAC address look something like this: 01:23:45:67:89:ab Most WiFi routers have the ability to only allow certain MAC address access to the network. You could set up MAC filtering on your WiFi router then speak with your neighbours and if any of them wanted to share the cost of your connection then you could add them to the list of approved MAC addresses.

WPA Key.
Another approach is to set up WPA encryption on your router. When you set it up you'll be asked to enter a WPA Key, which is like a password. You could then give then give the key to any neighbours who wanted to connect to your Internet connection.

The Captive-Portal.
Nearly all commercial Hotspots are Captive Portals, this appears as an Open or Unencrypted WiFi signal but then redirects any traffic to a specific web page called a "Splash Page" where your often asked to what is my connection speed or purchase internet access. Your splash page will be an Computer Associate Security for your WiFi service, so you would want to list how much you charge for access. A captive portal is great, as you don't need to visit your neighbours to see who wants to connect; anyone connecting to your WiFi Hotspot gets redirected to your splash page. You can even set up an automated system to take Pay Pal payment for Internet access so you would not even need to be home to be making money.

Good luck with your new WiFi Hotspot.

Chris McGregor is a New-Zealand native who is owner of a successful data networking company in beautiful North Island. He is also a Director and partner of UseMyNet. UseMyNet sells WiFi Hotspot Billing software that turns a Linksys WRT54GL router into a self-contained WiFi Hotspot, which can be operated for a fraction of the cost of hosted hotspot solution and is ideal for Pubs, Hotels and B&Bs
