MULTIPLEXING devices send multiple signals on a carrier at the same time in the
form of a single, complex signal and then recovering the several signals at the receiving end. If the PPP packet is also in an Ethernet NET, it is first encapsulated in the Ethernet packet and after in the ATM, becoming PPPoE that is PPP over Ethernet.
